First off, download the zip un unzip it.
You may want to install Webmedia Explorer on your PC or on a remote hosting. In both cases you have to make sure Apache has the mod_rewrite activated (in order to being able to process links) and PHP has the GD library activated (in order to being able to manipulate images).
Also make sure that AllowOverride is On (in order that Apache reads local .htaccess files).
Once you are sure this is working just download the zip, unzip it and you will find the following subfolders:
htdocs/cache/
htdocs/conf/ htdocs/css/htdocs/data/
htdocs/includes/
htdocs/templates/ htdocs/zip/
Make sure that
htdocs/cache/, htdocs/thumbs/ and htdocs/zip/ folders have write permissions.
Now you can change administration username and password by editing
htdocs/data/users.txt and default variables by editing the
htdocs/conf/config.lib.php file. Experiment.
Log
in and use the contextual menu by right-clicking on the name of an
element, be it a folder, file, image, link in order to edit.
